Emzine (pronounced: em-zah-ney) is a Houston-based artist who specializes in film photography.
Growing up in New Orleans, a city where music and storytelling are woven into everyday life, the artist developed a profound connection to both sound and word. Photography is self-expression. Photography is also self-preservation. The loss of much of their family’s photographic history in the wake of Hurricane Katrina deepened their desire to make and store memories that will last beyond their lifetime.
